Fine Art Print - Nasturtium

$60.00

Everything that is alive will change. It is natural, inevitable and can be a beautiful process to witness. This piece is special to me because I sketched a single nasturtium flower over the course of two weeks, visiting regularly to notice how it had changed. I watched as the bud opened, the colours deepened, and the flower burst into full bloom. Once, while I was sketching the flower, a native bee visited in search of pollen. By the end of the process, I was wildly in love with this one faded blossom, having witnessed the entire process, from bud, to full flower, to withering and decay.

8 x 16 inch fine art print on 280gsm cotton rag paper with archival pigments, printed locally in Samford Valley, Queensland, Australia.
